Arabic Calligraphy
Learn the rhythm and proportion of Arabic script with a master calligrapher, practising the strokes with your own hand on paper.
The art of beautiful writing
Arabic calligraphy is one of the most revered art forms in the Islamic world, a discipline of proportion, rhythm and breath as much as of letters. With a reed pen and ink, a master calligrapher guides you through the basic strokes and how they build into words.
You do not need to read Arabic. Part of the magic is discovering how much the hand can learn before the mind catches up.
Slow writing, clear mind
Deep concentration
Every stroke asks for precision, the angle of the pen, the flow of the ink, the space between letters. That demand for attention sharpens concentration and steadies a scattered mind.
Mindful by nature
Following the movement of the pen brings you into the present, the way meditation does. Studies link even short sessions of art-making to sharply lower stress.
Patience, practised
Calligraphy rewards the journey, not the goal. Watching your hand improve stroke by stroke builds patience and a quiet, earned confidence.
