Mosaic
Set stone and ceramic, piece by piece, into a pattern of your own.
An art Tunisia has practiced since antiquity
Mosaic is one of the oldest crafts in the country: the Roman and Byzantine floors of Tunisia are among the finest anywhere, and the tradition never fully left. Guided by a mosaicist, you learn to cut, place and set each tessera, stone and ceramic, into a composition of your own.
It is patient, absorbing work where a picture appears one small piece at a time. You leave with a finished mosaic that is yours to keep.
Focus you can hold in your hands
Deep, quiet focus
Placing each piece asks for full attention, the kind that quietly pushes everything else out of the room and settles the mind.
Colour and composition
Choosing tones and arranging fragments trains the eye and rewards patience: small decisions that add up to a whole.
Something that lasts
A mosaic is durable by nature. You walk away with a solid, finished object, and a real sense of accomplishment.
